8:00 a.m. – Hotel Pickup: We’ll start our day by picking you up from your hotel. Our journey will take us through the scenic Sacred Valley of the Incas.
9:30 a.m. – Ollantaytambo: After approximately 1.5 hours, we’ll arrive at the living Inca city of Ollantaytambo. Here, we’ll take a brief pause to use the facilities and purchase some snacks for the trek ahead.
10:00 a.m. – Journey to Socma: Continuing our Perolniyoc Waterfall & Inka Site Tour, we’ll head to the quaint town of Socma, just a 25-minute drive away.
10:30 a.m. – Trek to Racaypata: Our trek begins towards the Racaypata archaeological center (3,646 masl / 11,961 feet). Along the way, immerse yourself in the daily life of the local inhabitants and observe the various crops. Our knowledgeable guide will shed light on the historical significance and construction techniques of this ancient site, predominantly built using stones and mud.
12:00 p.m. – Descent to Perolniyoc Waterfall: After exploring Racaypata, we’ll descend through the picturesque Andean landscapes to reach the breathtaking Perolniyoc waterfall (3,460 masl / 11,351 feet). With a staggering drop of approximately 100 meters, this natural wonder offers a serene environment to connect with nature. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even take a refreshing dip in its crystalline waters. As you traverse, keep an eye out for the diverse birdlife native to the Sacred Valley.
2:00 p.m. – Return to Urubamba: We’ll head back to the city of Urubamba where you can savor a delicious traditional lunch and take a well-deserved rest.
4:00 p.m. – Journey Back to Cusco: Our final leg of the journey will take us back to Cusco, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel to conclude the Perolniyoc Waterfall & Inka Site Tour.
