This Half Day Quad Bike ATV Maras Moray, also known as the ATV Tour to Moray Maras, is a thrilling excursion crafted specifically for adventure enthusiasts like yourself. To commence this exhilarating journey through the Andean mountains of Cusco, we will collect you from your accommodation in either Cusco or the Urubamba Valley.
Upon starting the adventure, we will equip you with a Quad Bike ATV and the necessary gear, allowing you to traverse the stunning landscapes of the Andes. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to explore notable attractions such as the Maras Salt Mines and the Moray archaeological site.

The Quad Bike ATV Maras Moray adventure kicks off with a hotel pickup in Cusco. Our first stop of the day is at a textile center situated in the village of Chinchero, where you’ll learn about and witness the renowned Inca textile craftsmanship. Following this enriching experience, we’ll make a brief local stop just 20 minutes away.
Afterwards, you’ll be equipped with all the necessary gear, including gloves and helmets. Additionally, we’ll provide comprehensive instructions on how to safely operate the ATVs. This will include details about the route we’ll be taking. Once this short orientation is completed, our journey will commence towards Moray.
Upon reaching Moray, ample time will be allocated to exploring the fascinating circular terraces constructed within large natural depressions on the ground’s surface. These terraces were instrumental for the Incas in conducting agricultural experiments to adapt seeds brought from various regions of the Inca Empire. It’s noteworthy how the temperature varies significantly, about 15°C, between the top and bottom of these terraces. Following this, we’ll head to Maras’ main square for a brief pause.
The final highlight of our ATV Maras Moray tour will be the renowned Salinas de Maras. This site comprises approximately 4,000 small pools on the mountainside. During the dry season, locals fill these pools with saltwater flowing from the mountain, and when the water evaporates, salt is left behind. This salt gradually solidifies, resulting in a harvest every 30 days. To conclude our adventure, we’ll hop back on the ATVs and return to the starting point, where our transportation will be ready to take you back to either Cusco or the Sacred Valley.
