The Sacred Valley Tour begins early with a journey to the mountainous village of Chinchero, renowned for its weaving traditions and situated at a lofty altitude of 3,800m/12,500 ft. Here, we will visit a weaving house to witness a demonstration of dyeing and weaving techniques, followed by a visit to the renowned Chinchero market.
Subsequently, we will descend to the lower regions of the Sacred Valley and proceed to Ollantaytambo. This site features an impressive array of terraces that cascade from the village center, reflecting the architectural prowess of the Incas.
After enjoying a buffet lunch in Urubamba, we will continue our journey to Pisaq, our final destination for the day. In Pisaq, we will explore the magnificent Inca ruins, constructed with awe-inspiring audacity. Following this, we will visit the vibrant market at Pisaq before returning to Cusco, passing by the Sacsayhuaman ruins. Please note that if time is limited, the visit to Sacsayhuaman may be brief.
