Tour Highlights:
Early Morning Departure: We’ll start our adventure by picking you up from your hotel at 05:00 a.m. Our journey begins as we head towards the picturesque valley of Mollepata. Along the way, you’ll experience the changing altitude, offering glimpses of fruit trees, towering snowy peaks, diverse flora, and unique fauna that make this region so special.
Breakfast in Mollepata: Upon reaching Mollepata, we’ll pause to enjoy a hearty breakfast, fueling up for the day’s activities.
Challacancha Rest Stop: After breakfast, our next stop is Challacancha, where we’ll take a short break to rest and prepare for our trek. From this point, we’ll commence our hike towards Soraypampa, the starting point for our trek to the mesmerizing Humantay Lagoon.
Humantay Lagoon Exploration: As we trek towards the Humantay Lagoon, you’ll be captivated by the extraordinary beauty of its green-blue waters, nestled at an elevation of 4,200 masl / 13,779 ft. Take your time to soak in the breathtaking views and capture some memorable photos.
Lunch and Continuing the Trek: After our descent from Humantay Lagoon, a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. Energized and refreshed, we’ll continue our hike for approximately 2 hours, reaching our campsite at Soyroccocha at an elevation of 4,491 masl / 14,730 ft.
Tea Time and Dinner: Upon arrival at Soyroccocha, we’ll enjoy some tea time followed by a hearty dinner. As night falls, take advantage of the clear skies to gaze at the expansive constellations, providing a magical end to our first day.

Trek to Salkantay Pass: Our main highlight today is reaching the breathtaking Salkantay Pass at an elevation of 4,638 masl / 15,213 ft. As we trek towards the pass, you’ll be mesmerized by the unique and unforgettable landscapes that unfold before you. The sheer grandeur of the towering Salkantay Mountain and the pristine beauty of nature will leave you in awe.
Celebrating at Salkantay Pass: Upon reaching Salkantay Pass, take a moment to soak in the unparalleled views and revel in the triumph of reaching this iconic landmark. The impressive sight of Salkantay Mountain and the surrounding natural beauty make this a truly unforgettable experience.
Descent and Lunch: After enjoying the panoramic views from Salkantay Pass, we’ll begin our descent back to the campsite for a well-deserved lunch.
Transfer to Soraypampa and Return to Cusco: Following lunch, we’ll continue our hike towards Soraypampa at an elevation of 3,850 masl / 12,631 ft. Upon reaching Soraypampa, our transportation will be waiting to whisk us away back to the city of Cusco, marking the end of our exhilarating Humantay Lake Tour.
